Visit of EFQM representative to Serbia
Mr. Gianluca Mule, Chief Operating Officer of EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) visited Belgrade to get acquainted with the situation in the economy and the relevant institutions of the Republic of Serbia for the effective implementation of the EFQM model for Business Excellence.
The announced plan of the visit included:
• Discussion with representatives of the Association SRMEK,
• Discussion with representatives of the Government of the Republic of Serbia,
• Discussion with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia,
• Press conference,
• Findings and conclusions.
The President of SRMEK, Dr Jovo Lojanica and his associates presented a plan of training activities for 2018. The first scheduled seminar will be held October, 5th -6th, 2018 in Belgrade. Lecturers for seminars will be experienced prominent experts from the European Union who have the appropriate licenses.
Communicated representatives of the Government of the Republic of Serbia were not available that day, so there was no meeting.
Representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, Mr. Miroslav Miletic, Advisor to the President and Milena Milisavljevic, Independent Officer at the Department for Environment, Technical Regulations, Quality and Social Responsibility, held a meeting and jointly discussed the situation in this area in the Serbian economy. Representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed their full commitment to applying the EFQM Business Excellence model, expressed their gratitude for the visit and expressed expectations that EFQM headquarter will help us and direct us to apply the best practice in economies similar to Serbia.
The visit ended with a press conference at the Media Center in Belgrade. On that occasion, Mr. Gianluca Mule and Dr. Jovo Lojanica presented the results of the visit and pointed out examples of good practice of similar countries.
In the report sent to the Prime Minister, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the President of SRMEK, the jurisdiction and responsibility of the Government, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the SRMEK Association was pointed out, as well as on the methodology of work, ways of implementing and monitoring all activities.
