The Serbian Association for Quality SRMEK (the Association) respects the privacy of visitors to www.srmek.org. This page explains what data we collect, for what purpose and how long we keep it.
Contact form
When you send an enquiry through the contact form, we collect only what you enter yourself: your full name, email address and/or phone number, subject and message. The name, the message and at least one contact (email or phone) are required, because without them we cannot reply. We use the data only to answer your enquiry and continue the conversation you started.
The enquiry is delivered to the Association by email, and a confirmation of receipt is sent to the email address you entered. A copy of the enquiry is kept on the website server and is deleted automatically 12 months after it was sent.
The website runs on a server in Germany (European Union). The form is protected by a check that runs in your browser and on the website server: a short background calculation, a time token and a limit on the number of enquiries. It asks nothing of you and sends nothing to third parties; your IP address is not stored for this check, only a one-way record of it that changes every day.
Communication with members
For communication with members and for news, the Association uses MailChimp, which operates in line with the EU data protection rules (GDPR): privacy policy and terms of use. You can stop receiving news at any time through the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each message.
Cookies and technical data
The website does not use advertising technology. If you choose “Accept” in the cookie bar, the website uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read most. The service is provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, and the legal basis is your consent. Until you choose, and if you choose “Necessary only”, analytics is not loaded (Google Consent Mode: measurement is denied by default). IP addresses are not stored, Google signals and advertising features are off, and event data is kept for 14 months.
Data may be transferred to the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has found an adequate level of protection (Article 64(2) of the Serbian Law on Personal Data Protection). Google also applies standard contractual clauses.
With your consent, analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<ID>, which last up to 2 years. Your choice is stored in the cc_consent cookie for one year. You can change or withdraw it at any time with the “Cookie settings” button in the website footer; analytics cookies are deleted when you withdraw.
The server records basic technical data about requests (time, requested address, IP address and browser type) for security and stable operation. These records are deleted automatically after 14 days and are not used to track visitors.
Security and sharing
We do not sell your data or pass it on to third parties, except to the technical providers (hosting and email) needed for the website and for receiving messages. The website works only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and the Association has taken organisational, technical and staff measures to protect data from loss, unauthorised change, theft or access.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of or deletion of the data you sent us. Send your request to office@srmek.org. If you believe your rights have been violated, you can contact the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Serbia.
